1. Is Expanded Life only for seniors?
No . . . It is really for anyone who wants to have an easy environment to connect with family and friends. However, because of the design and ease of use, it is perfect for seniors who may not feel comfortable using a computer or like the convenience of using an iPad especially while traveling.
2. Do I need to have a tablet to use Expanded Life? No, you can view Expanded Life on any compatible browser.
3. Do I need a keyboard?
No. The interface was designed to be entirely touch-based for the tablet experience. You can use a keyboard with your iPad if you choose – there are some great options to turn an iPad into a quick and convenient laptop (see our Accessories FAQ)
4. Do I need to know how to use a computer?
Part of our goal for Expanded Life was to make it easy and accessible for any level of user. Because the platform is set up for touch, it is intuitive and very easy to use.
5. How can I use a Gmail account with Expanded Life?
We have specifically integrated Gmail into Expanded Life. Because Gmail is free and easy to setup, even if your tablet user doesn’t use email – we make accessing and reading emails easy to use. If they have an existing email box the Gmail box will supplement their existing one and allows for a quick email to be sent to the Expanded Life iPad interface. To get started just go to www.gmail.com and setup and account and during the sign up process you will be instructed to add your Gmail account information.
6. Do I have to have a Twitter account?
Not everyone chooses to use Twitter. Should you already have an account, Expanded Life is already compatible with Twitter. This is easy to set up so others can read your most recent Tweets. We also highly recommend you find twitter accounts that might be of interest to your tablet user. For example, if they have a favorite movie star, or news channel they like to follow you can setup that twitter account which will show up on the iPad interface.
7. Do I have to have a Facebook account?
Even though a large number of people use Facebook regularly, it is not necessary to use Expanded Life. You can however, connect your Facebook account and select specific Facebook albums to share. One tip is to setup a specific album in your Facebook account where you upload photos to specifically share with yoru iPad user.
8. How much does an Expanded Life membership cost?
Expanded Life memberships are $6.95 per month with a one month free trial.
9. Can I add family and friends to connect as well and share?
Yes you can set up 10 additional users who will be able to login and share as well. NOTE: Only the primary user is able to create new photo albums and add additional users.
