Deborah and Kevin Healy
Deborah and Kevin Healy are California jewelers who completed their collegiate fine art education together in Tucson, AZ. They moved to California in 1974 and have called it “home” ever since. Making their livelihood from jewelry making, the Healy’s are perhaps the best-known kaleidoscope jewelry makers in the United States.

The Healy’s kaleidoscope jewelry includes the copyrighted, Bead-O-Scope© series, in which they combine lampworked glass beads and fine, wearable kaleidoscopes made of sterling silver. They also have created silver and gold wearable kaleidoscopes with turning ends, the Saturn scopes, which frequently are decorated with a carved moonstone face, or a gemstone cabochon set on the kaleidoscope body.

Exclusive one-of-a-kind works include works such as The Ensemble a three-piece set of a kaleidoscope ring, turning end kaleidoscope pendant with carved Moonface, and a turning end Saturn with Moonface cabochon.

The Healys are known for the perfection of the images they attain in such small scopes. Both women and men happily wear a Healy design. Their work can be seen on pages 77 – 79 of The Kaleidoscope Collector’s Guide.
